Babylon to Jerusalem

The weather is beautiful and warm, and we are psyched. Yesterday Fox and I packed up and went to Birkdale to enjoy the day, and it was lovely. We strolled around, had lunch at J.D. Rockers, and discovered the greenway that runs behind Birkdale. Fox saw his first ducks (he wasn't impressed) and had a golden retriever lick his face (which he loved). Then we came home, Fox donned his new blue jeans (courtesy of the Assurance UMC consignment sale this weekend), and we went outside to let him have his first "playing in the dirt" experience. Needless to say, he loved it. I had to keep his paci in to prevent him from eating dirt, bugs, and Lord only knows what else, but the kid has outsmarted me again, figuring out that all he has to do is spit his paci out and put the desired object of the moment into his mouth. So, after a few mouthfuls of dirt and twigs, we had to come inside (to which Fox protested...loudly).
